Malala Yousafzai is an activist for the educational rights of children, and especially girls and women. Born in the summer of 1997 (when I graduated H.S. 🎓), when she was 15 there was an armed attempt on her life from those who would oppose the equal rights of girls and women. Not only did she survive a shot to the head, she is now 23 and the youngest recipient of the Nobel Prize. ♀️ Her work towards a better future rooted in equality continues to this day. For this I am thankful.
