I started today off on a hilarious note and wanted to end it that way. Years ago as I started removing the blinders from my eyes, I noticed things I didn’t always talk about. Then as my curiosity got the best of me and I grew bolder, I had to ask some questions.

I would ask men: who is your favorite woman comedian?

Not a single one could even name a woman comedian.

So I got annoyed and stopped asking. 藍

At the beginning of every single day, I want to sing and dance. So I do. At the end of each day, all I want to do is laugh and feel light hearted. So I try.

I’m not easily offended and have varied tastes. Some days I want silly, goofy, or thoughtful. Other days I want wildly offensive hilarity. I looked at a list of some well known comedians for some funny quotes. But what I got was the take of several women in a male-dominated industry.

I picked Mary Tyler Moore for today for Women’s History Month. She starred as Mary Richards on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” a groundbreaking sitcom featuring a single working woman as the lead character. ♀️
